Child Cancer Research and Treatment in Charlotte

"Many people in our region don't realize that Charlotte offers a model for how childhood cancer research and treatment can flourish. About 18 months ago, Carolinas HealthCare Foundation brought together a group of generous local donors to form the Carolinas Kids Cancer Research Coalition. Twelve nonprofit groups, including the Leon Levine Foundation, pledged nearly $6 million to support local cancer research at Levine Children's Hospital."
