Hey
there, Rockstar Nation. I just wanted to let you all know how thankful
we are that Michael is one of your Rohr Rockstars! Michael was
diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma back in February and is
currently in remission and doing really well. Since we met Trish, she
has played such a huge role in helping to get Michael back on track
after all of the months of school that he missed while
receiving chemo. We meet with Miss Steffanie often (BEST TUTOR EVER)
and sweet Trish has spent a lot of time meeting with Michael's teachers
and school administration to provide guidance during his transition back
to school. Today was a great victory for Michael. Today was his first
parent teacher conference of the school year. The teacher's words...
"Michael is having a great year. He is meeting all of his grade level
expectations and he is showing consistent progress in all areas of
school. (This next part is my favorite...) He is gaining more confidence
in himself and shares great ideas in class. The other students look up
to him." She also handed me his report card which was just AWESOME!!!
As I read it, I could hear the choir singing the Hallelujah chorus in
the background. Trish, Miss Steffanie, and all of you Rohr Rockstar
supporters, I can't thank you enough for all that you do. My son is
healthy, happy and loves school. I will be forever grateful to you
all!!!
